In Mexico, a ‘Fonda is a home that a family opens up to their local community as an unofficial restaurant. It’s this idea of everyone feeling welcome, relaxed and at home that really struck a chord with our founders, Tim and Dave.

Not only did we borrow the Fonda name, but the idea of a Fonda was also the inspiration behind our brand tagline of Mi Casa Su Casa. This embodies how we treat our staff, like our family, and how we treat our customers, as guests in our own home.

So while Tim and Dave didn’t quite get the all-clear to literally open their own homes up in the same way as the real ‘Fondas’ of Mexico, it still sums up what we’re all about.

Requirements

Your role within the team

We are looking for an exceptional Marketer to join our support office team, based in Cremorne. This role will be responsible for developing and executing insight-led marketing and communications plans, that drive both internal brand love and external brand buzz.

The role will lead the transformation of the Fonda marketing function, as we strive to set the brand up for national growth. With a key focus on leveraging data, insights and global industry trends to drive rhythm and consistency in our communications, the opportunity, and scope to make an impact are endless.

Accountable for all marketing channels, we need a genuine all-rounder who has the skill and expertise to flex across social media, CRM, PR, SEO, PPC, out of home, on-premise promotion, and brand activations (pop-ups, collaborations, etc). Note that this will involve managing 2 direct reports and agencies.

This role will report to our Brand and Marketing Director.

What you will need

We look for people who have what it takes to make an impact; who can challenge us to go further while pushing themselves to help the Fonda brand to realise its potential. With this in mind, for this particular role we feel the below is required for candidates to succeed in this role:



  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing/Communications and/or any other relevant qualification(s).
  • Significant experience in building and executing insight-led, multi-channel marketing plans.
  • A proven track record in ensuring all touchpoints are on-brand.
  • Expertise in social media marketing (specifically Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn), as well as an in-depth understanding of the Facebook Ads Manager platform.
  • Familiarity in working with Google Adwords and SEO.
  • The ability to capture and create content for campaign execution (we do engage agencies where required, but capture/create most social content in house)
  • Demonstrated track record in driving multi-stakeholder engagement and alignment.
  • Experience in building reports - campaign wrap reports, channel reports etc.
  • Strong budget management skills.
