The Position:
We are currently seeking a Chef Supervisor to join our catering team on a full-time basis.
The Chef Supervisor is responsible for the daily operational management of the Catering Department and all food services personnel within the facility. The Chef Supervisor is required to implement, deliver, monitor and evaluate the Food Safety Program and ensure the catering department is managed and maintained within all formal accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
The position is based at our Wellington Views aged care home in Old Beach, Tasmania.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- A Trade Cook Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in residential aged care or a similar environment.
- Current Food Safety Supervisors Certificate (or ability to obtain).
- Well developed relationship management skills with the ability to lead a team.
- A genuine interest for working in aged care.
- Well developed customer service skills.
- An ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate is required to provide a current National Police Certificate without conviction that would preclude employment in aged care.
