Job Description

We are looking for a National Account Manager to join our Brisbane based Sales team and look after one of our major clients. This is a permanent, full-time role which offers great opportunities for growth and development.

Working as part of a supportive and dynamic team, you’ll be responsible for building and developing relationships with the client. You can expect to be responsible for a broad remit including:

  • Building account management plans that bring shared strategic growth
  • Developing and implementing strategies, category initiatives and tactical programs with the key customer to ensure sales revenue achievement and growth.
  • Effectively communicating national account strategies and tactical plans to the General Manager, State Sales Lead and through state and segment leads with the key customer.
  • Being accountable for delivering annual sales budgets as well as accurate forecasting and demand planning for the key customer
  • Preparing annual customer/product/category budgets, and completing rolling monthly sales forecasts
  • Driving customer development by developing strategic account management plans that align Bamp;K to retail customers for shared growth and expansion of our respective businesses.
  • Engaging in business development activities by implementing customer service strategies, new market options and other initiatives for the key customer

About you

This is a key role looking after one of our major customers, so we’ll expect you to have significant and relevant experience as a Sales professional, including at least 3 years as a Key or National Account Manager.

You’ll bring well developed expertise in applying the principles and processes of developing and implementing sales strategies and techniques, plus proven analytical skills and the ability to analyse historical implementations and suggest new strategies, tactics and initiatives to drive further growth. You will need to be a strong relationship builder with outstanding negotiation skills and a track record of sales experience with key international or local retailers.

Whilst we’re open to background, candidates who have experience in category management and/or trade marketing will be looked upon favourably. Our ideal candidate will also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Marketing/Sales) or Business, or an equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training or professional accreditation. A post- graduate/Masters degree or MBA is desirable.
