About your new role
The THRIVE Peer Support Worker is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery and development of a new eight-week employment focused wellbeing program. The THRIVE Peer Support Worker will be an integral member of the THRIVE team and draw on your lived and/or living experience of recovery to help connect with others through the delivery of the THRIVE program. For this role you must have your own Lived or Living Experience (LLE) of distress or mental ill-health and be willing to purposefully use your own story to help others further their own understanding of their recovery journey in an employment context

What you will bring to the role?
- Lived experience of mental illness and demonstrated experience of recovery, and understanding of its impacts on employment
- Demonstrate integrity, credibility, and ability to foster open communication
- Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and to prioritise multiple tasks to meet conflicting deadlines.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust to deal with sensitive and difficult situations in a diplomatic manner
What the role requires:
- National Criminal History Check (Police check) disclosable outcomes considered
- Current Working with Children Check required before commencement of work
- Current Drivers licence
- Australian Working Rights
- As part of Neami’s condition of employment you will need to provide appropriate evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (having received three doses) to Neami National.
