About the Role

  • Full Time or Part Time (0.8 FTE) Permanent
  • Classification: Health Professional Award 2020 Level 2 or Nurses Award 2020 Level 2 with a salary range of $83,584 - $93,524 per annum pro rata + Superannuation

About your new role

As a Mental Health/AOD Clinician, you will have a background in and be registered as an Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse, or Psychologist including registration and mental health accreditation with the relevant accreditation body in your field. If this accreditation has not yet been achieved, it is expected that this would be achieved within one year of working in the service.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary recovery-focused team providing high quality support to consumers of the Regional Care Partnership (RCP) Service. You will work in close collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team inclusive of Aboriginal amp; Torres Strait Islander health practitioners, a specialist family clinician, a nurse practitioner, care coordinators, specialist LGBTQI+, AOD, and mental health peer support workers.

What you will bring to the role?

  • Formal tertiary qualification in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy
  • Proven clinical experience to apply evidence-based interventions including understanding of theoretical concepts within mental health and AOD sciences and their application to mental health and AOD issues and problems.
  • Experience working as a member of a multi- disciplinary team with the ability to inspire and facilitate team commitment and cooperation
  • Experience working across a range of Commonwealth and State funded mental health/AOD programs and ensuring program implementation in line with funding requirements and contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to form and nurture partnerships with government and non-government mental health, AOD, emergency and community service providers

What the role requires:

  • National Criminal History Check (Police check) disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check required before commencement of work
  • Curretn AHPRA or AASW or AASW Registration
  • Current Drivers licence
  • Australian Working Rights
  • As part of Neami’s condition of employment you will need to provide appropriate evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (having received three doses) to Neami National.
