How you’ll make an impact
As a member of Sidekicker Engineering, you'll utilise your technical skills to build products revolutionising the temp industry. As a senior software engineer, you'll ship architecturally sound code at regular intervals and participate in technology decisions with the potential to grow into a leadership role.
What you’ll do
- Hone your craft through engineering best practices like code reviews and testing.
- Collaborate with Product and Design to help shape product specifications.
- Work collaboratively to arrive at pragmatic and architecturally-sound engineering decisions.
- Contribute to work breakdown, design, evaluation, planning and estimating product features.
- Take on challenging and complex technical problems.
- Contribute to project improvements, process improvements, and proactively initiate and facilitate team conversations around these areas.
About you
Critical Competencies
- Robust experience in full-stack development and a desire to expand your skill set.
- Experience in building and deploying in NodeJS, JavaScript and/or PHP.
- Working knowledge of MySQL.
- A keen interest in modern technologies such as GraphQL and React.
- A sound understanding of web application development and MVC frameworks.
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A reasoned and pragmatic approach to software development and testing.
- A love of problem-solving, investigating problems and determining the appropriate fix.
- Open to working in an agile development environment.
- A willingness to contribute and help others on the team improve their craft.
Experience
- 5 or more years of relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
