Senior Modern Workspace Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking a "Senior Modern Workplace Engineer" who will be responsible for leading workshops to identify trends and problems within customer environments, developing new solutions to improve customer environments, and mentoring junior engineers. This role requires extensive experience in managing and maintaining infrastructure and associated platforms, as well as the ability to develop permanent corrective fixes and deploy them following appropriate change processes.
Responsibilities:
- Taking the lead to develop new solutions that improve our customer environments.
- Developing permanent corrective fixes and deploy following appropriate change processes.
- Documenting solutions and knowledge in Logicalis' knowledge management system
- Mentoring junior engineers to help develop their skills
- Conduct frequent reporting that demonstrates successful delivery and compliance of managed infrastructure
- Receive escalations to the Level 3 support team and ensure they are resolved in within SLA
Requirements
You will have extensive experience in :
- Vmware (Vcenter, ESXi)
- Physical Host Infrastructure (ILO/IDRAC)
- Storage QNAP, Dell EMC
- Microsoft Windows Server (AD, DHCP, DNS Group Policy)
- Organisation of Patching activities as required
- Vulnerability Planning and Mitigation
- Nutanix, Cisco Hyperflex, Hyper V, VxRail skillsets are an advantage in addition to Backup Technologies such as Commvault, Veeam
