About your new role

The LIMH SPL position is responsible for supporting the implementation and delivery of the LIMHS program in the NT.

The role will directly deliver LIMH Program activities in the Darwin city region, primarily via group based psychological interventions and as such, group facilitation is the role’s primary activity.

The LIMH SPL will also support and work with other service providers, engaged with the LIMH program via contractual agreements to deliver program activities across the NT.

This position will support the Head to Health Clinical Service Manager in developing the LIMHS program, and will work closely and collaboratively with the contracted partners delivering the LIMHS program across the NT.

What you will bring to the role?

  • A valid and current Australian Driver’s License
  • A valid and current Working with Children check
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of support to consumers with mental health concerns
  • Tertiary level qualifications in a relevant discipline (i.e., Cert IV Mental Health, Peer work, Social work, Counselling or Human Services) or a lived experience of mental illness and a demonstrated journey of recovery
  • An ability to build relationships and support partners to ensure key deliverables are met.
  • Experience working with client information systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data collection
  • An understanding of culturally sensitive practice.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Ability to travel for work purposes when required.
  • Satisfactory criminal record check - Criminal record checks are mandatory for all new appointments. Neami National will cover the cost of an Australian check. Where a new employee has lived outside of Australia for 12 months or more within the last 10 years, the cost of an International check will be borne by the applicant.
