About the role:

Accountable to the Chief Financial Officer the Finance Officer is responsible for the end to end accounts payable function and bank reconciliations. The purpose of this role is to maintain accurate records of financial transactions. The Finance Officer will provide timely, efficient, and accurate reporting of financial data in accordance with the month end timetable and business control procedures.

The Finance Officer is responsible for executing the following functions:

  • Managing the Accounts Payable function of the business, including processing of invoices due for payment and reconciling supplier statements
  • Processing of supplier credit notes
  • Matching Purchase Orders to Supplier Invoices
  • Reconciliation of Credit Card Statements and other accounts as required
  • Monthly Reconciliations of all entity bank accounts
  • Following up Goods Receipted not yet invoiced
  • Preparing and maintaining company work instructions and policies
  • Preparing ad-hoc reports as requested
  • Assist with company audits
  • Contribute to the development, understanding and application of the ISO:9001 Quality Management System

Requirements

The Finance Officer will be able to demonstrate the following skills, attributes, and qualifications in order to be successful in this role:

  • Previous experience working in a similar Finance role
  • Knowledge of business, financial management and accounting practices
  • Experience in the use of software applications, particularly Netsuite or similar ERP systems
  • Experience in Manufacturing Industry (desirable)
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Certificate 1V in Accounting and Bookkeeping

Beneficial qualifications, skills and attributes for the Role:

It would benefit the candidate’s chances of securing the role if he/she could demonstrate experience in:

  • Month end reconciliations and investigation of any discrepancies
  • Experience in managing bank accounts in multiple currencies
