About the Role
- Full Time Permanent
- Classification: Consumer Service Delivery Level 3 with a salary range of $77,656 - $83,565 per annum + Superannuation
- Location: Based at Head to Health Phone amp; Digital Intake Service, QLD and remote working opportunities available. Mackay and Townsville residents are encouraged to apply.
The Intake and Assessment Officer is part of a multidisciplinary mental health team, delivering high quality mental health intake, assessment and referral services for individuals in the region who experience mental health issues and/or AOD issues and are seeking support.
Intake and Assessment officers will provide the intake function, including provide an initial identification and assessment of needs for individuals, families and carers when they make contact, and ensuring that the right level of care is provided.
What you will bring to the role?
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of mental health intake, assessment and supporting consumers with presenting mental health concerns
- Engage consumers, using a strengths-based approach
- Experience working with client information systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data collection
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust to deal with sensitive and difficult situations in an empathetic manner.
- Ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of a diverse range of people.
- Proven ability to work productively in a changing and agile environment.
