We are a specialist advisor and consultancy to property, construction, and infrastructure projects nationally. We deliver successful project outcomes by managing cost, scope, risk, design, feasibility, and programme.

Our clients include State governments, company boards, financiers, developers, main contractors, builders, governments, PPP Sponsors and tertiary education providers.

The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer that is keen to make the switch to consulting and project advisory, to join our growing team of consultants based out of our North Sydney office.

As a consultant project engineer, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work on an array of exciting and complex infrastructure projects, across multiple industries.
  • Work for a range of clients and with an experienced and diverse team.
  • Work on secondments and office roles in the project management and estimating teams.
  • Apply the experience you’ve accrued to date to generate true value for clients and stakeholders, challenging the norm and delivering tailored outcomes.
  • Develop a multidisciplinary toolkit, at North we don’t promote silo's therefore you will have the ability to work across service, sectors and ultimately across our whole network of offices and clients.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Have a Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil/Structural/Mechanical)
  • Minimum 4 years post-graduate experience (ideally on-site) in Rail, Road or other Civil Infrastructure projects as a project engineer.
  • Be able to work in a team, autonomously and proactively, and manage a small team of engineers and consultants across a variety of different disciplines
  • Proven experience in infrastructure project delivery, engineering services, project management and/or first principles cost estimating.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple workloads.
  • Confident communicator with clients and stakeholders with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Have enthusiasm and passion for engineering.
  • A can-do attitude that focuses on solutions through innovative thinking.
