Our mission at Ofload is to achieve zero waste in trucking by digitising the transport industry.
In Australia, currently 30% of trucks drive empty and a further 50% are underutilised amounting to mass inefficiency and detrimental environmental impacts. Since 2020 we have scaled to a team of over 100, removed nearly 5 million empty kilometres from our roads. and have planted over 11 000 trees to offset our carbon footprint in partnership with One Tree Planted.
In 2022, we supercharged our growth through the acquisition of logistics experts CIA Logistics, raised $60m in Series B funding and were recognised by the Australian Financial Review as one of Australia's Most Innovative Companies.

Purpose of the Role:
The Lead Allocator will lead all ADHOC work including transforming the spot booking tool, the carrier marketplace and also lead developing tools to manage and track capacity within the business to ensure Ofload delivers value to our customers and carriers.
What you'll do:
- Manage the allocation of transport resources to meet customer requirements for all ADHOC work and the Spot Booking Tool.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure that customer requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinate, Monitor and track capacity in the market to ensure that resources are used efficiently and to ensure we meet customer demand.
- Provide support to the wider team to source capacity for non standard shipments.
- Monitor and report on performance against key performance indicators to ensure that customer service levels are met.
- Provide regular updates to the Product team and Digital Supply Planning team to improve platform, systems and tools.
- Influence and lead the Marketplace from an operations and carrier perspective.
- Continuously look for ways to improve the allocation process and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
What you'll bring:
- Solid experience in transport allocation or similar role.
- Strong understanding of transport logistics and supply chain processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with customers and carriers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.Experience with transport management systems and spot booking tools is an advantage.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain management is an advantage.
