Job Description

We’re looking to bring in a deeply curious and passionate People Partner, Strategy and Development to help us support and grow our people leaders and nurture our culture.

About the People team

This is a new role in the People team. The People team is small but with big ambitions. We are proud of our contribution to Today’s success so far, and we strive to support and grow our culture, systems, practice and policy to enable our teams to do their best work in a cohesive, inclusive and supportive environment.

About the role

This position will see you working with our people and senior leadership teams to innovate our existing people systems and experience touch points to support our creative, high-performing culture.

Your days will be spent:

  • Engaging with leaders on people strategy through workforce planning, organisation design and organisation development
  • Leading the implementation of change (culture, process, policy) programs and projects that have measurable impact
  • Collaborating on big projects from company and people issues, to identifying and developing our key talent, to culture and change management
  • Supporting our culture of growth and learning through the execution of our performance, learning, and career framework
  • Delivering strategic consultative advice and coaching to senior leaders to address employee relations and performance issues and managing situations that result in the best possible outcomes for Today, teams, and people
  • Contributing to the evolution of our practices around ways of working, wellbeing, culture, learning and discovery

Requirements

About you

We are looking for someone who wants to make a positive impact through their craft. You will be able to demonstrate:

  • 10+ years of experience in delivering high quality, impactful people services, preferably within a high growth startup, particularly in the for-purpose sector and/or creative industry
  • A track record of providing HR expertise to senior leadership on high impact initiatives
  • Excellent knowledge of performance, employee relations, talent planning and organisation design
  • Experience in proactively identifying, challenging, strategising and implementing people systems, structures and policy and that have made a measurable impact
  • Ability to build solid trust-based relationships quickly with senior leadership teams
  • Demonstrated skills in nurturing supportive, creative, high performing teams using positive psychology methodologies
  • Excellent influencing skills at all levels in an organisation
  • Effective in making timely, effective, principles-based decisions
