Our Team
You will be joining our growing Networks Managed Services team, working with a dedicated team to deliver excellence through building true partnership with an important NSW customer.
About the Role
This role will see you leading the team to success, with guidance and support, allowing the team to provide Datacom and the customer with network solutions, solution implementation and timely updates all whilst maintaining a balanced approached to customer service and team collaboration.
You will be leading a newly formed small team of 5 x Engineers of varying experience.
This role is a full-time permanent role and may require some evening and weekend work as agreed with the customer and will be based in our Sydney office. You must have full working rights to be eligible for this role, no sponsorships provided.
What you'll do
The core objectives and responsibilities of the Network Team Leader include:
- Support customer network environment/s, and able to jump in and get your hands dirty where required
- Establish and nurture relationships with appropriate staff both within Datacom and our clients
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to the team
- Perform reporting duties
- Liaise with Professional services and Sales Teams
You will have the opportunity to be exposed to the latest in technology and to continue learning as we introduce new services and products and be the point of contact delivering success to our customer.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you must have the passion to deliver quality outcomes whilst promoting a culture of collaboration, effective communication and comfortable managing various stakeholder relationships, understanding that it’s all about the people. This role will suit a person who works with a sense of urgency and has a proactive work ethic.
This is an ideal role for someone who is stepping into the people management and leadership space of Networks with 1-3 years’ experience, or training can be provided to the right candidate.
Ideal skills and experience (not limited to):
- Engineering and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems
- Contributing to continuous improvement of Security processes and strategies that identify and help implement tools for better vulnerability management and tracking
- Providing technical solutions through project delivery and design teams to contribute continuous improvement of designing technical solutions to meet operational needs
- Hands-on experience in Switching, Routing, Firewalling and Load Balancing
