The Role:
You will be joining a fast-moving Product Team and working with some very talented engineers and designers. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Infrastructure Engineer to join a high performing and motivated team. Reporting into the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be working on challenging and fun projects including infrastructure management, DevOps responsibilities and managing ClickView TV Services.

The ideal candidate will be smart, personable and friendly Infrastructure engineer who communicates in a clear and concise manner. You live and breathe best-practice Infrastructure engineering and are passionate about solving challenging problems that support the wider organisation.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Management and administration of physical and virtualised on-premises servers (Hyper-V) and backup infrastructure (Veeam)
  • Administration and monitoring of physical office security access
  • Configuring and maintaining office networks and access - pfSense firewalls, HP and Cisco switches, OpenVPN, IPsec, Unifi WiFi
  • Internal hardware scoping and procurement
  • Configuring and reviewing monitoring of company servers and services (New Relic)
  • Management of lights-out colocation sites with remote hands operations
  • Maintenance and monitoring of off-site, physical infrastructure, including HA pfSense firewalls, IPsec VPNs, Dell OpenManage Enterprise

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential

  • Lights-out colocated site management and monitoring, with remote hands operations. HA firewalls, static site-to-site (IPsec) VPNs, and BGP uplinks.
  • An understanding of least-privilege security implementation with network ACLs, IAM policy, database privileges, etc.
  • Solid working knowledge of AWS VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and service charging.
  • Comfortable configuring and maintaining AWS S3, CloudFront, EC2, Aurora, and CloudWatch.
  • Remote management of server operating systems - Windows and Linux, both physical and virtual.
  • Knowledge of DevOps support systems - git repo, build systems, deployment controls, Windows and Linux server administration, docker services management, metrics and log collection.
  • Cloud concepts including CDN, storage, continuous availability, auto-scaling, compute, and HA databases.
  • Experience configuring and managing remote IPv4 switched networks, firewall rules and basic BGP.
Nice to have
  • Experience with Docker, MySQL, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, Redis, and DNS, highly regarded. Also GitLab, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Jira.
  • Exposure to IPsec site-to-site VPN management.
  • Strong preference for AWS-specific experience or certification.
  • Experience working with multi-region, cross-account, and multi-vendor solutions. Also hybrid on-prem/cloud operations.
