The Opportunity

Our client has an opportunity for a self-motived and adaptable Associate to join the team. This is a client centric, hands-on role and execution focused role requiring a strong investment banking skill set to complement the existing skills within the team:

  • Supporting the origination, execution and management of opportunities across our focus sectors through active contribution to client presentations and transaction execution activities, including providing financial and commercial input to projects and transactions.
  • Create financial models for acquisitions, divestments, project financing and operational updates for client investments.
  • Ensure that all deals are delivered in a methodical, reliable and cost-effective manner for execution. Consider all impacts and options associated with the deal and provide that information to all relevant stakeholders in association with the Senior Directors.
  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external documentation, including client investment case papers.
  • Assist in presenting to senior stakeholders with first-class attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Manage internal and external relationships and stakeholders with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Provide analysis and advice to support origination activities and project development;
  • Provide analytic and commercial support to clients on the ongoing management of portfolio assets.


About You

Your Experience

Ideally, you will have:

  • Minimum of 4 years of Investment Banking, Corporate Advisory, Corporate Finance or Private Equity experience.
  • A passion to be involved in the infrastructure, energy, renewable energy and mining sectors.
  • Flexibility and desire to work on different types of transactions and across multiple sectors.
  • Strong financial modelling skills.
  • Experience with planning and managing transaction workstreams including company and sector analysis, due diligence processes, structuring and documentation.
  • Maturity to deal with peers and senior stakeholders (internally as well as external advisors; legal, financial, accounting, technical etc).
  • Self starter who demonstrates initiative and accountability.
  • Suitable tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or another relevant area.
