About our role

Northern Star’s KCGM Operations are seeking a Senior Maintenance Planner to lead the team of Northern Star and Contractor Mobile Maintenance Planners, Schedulers and Reliability Engineers. Working a 5:2/4:3, 9.5hr day roster, this is a residential role based in Kalgoorlie.

The successful candidate will ensure Asset Management maintenance planning and scheduling processes are optimised, Equipment Reliability targets meet KCGM whole of life maintenance strategies and statutory and legislative requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Trade Certificate or Degree in Engineering.
  • A strong understanding of Asset Management processes and practices in particular, Work Management, Defect Elimination, O4R, Metrics and Shut Management
  • Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in Maintenance Planning working in mining or heavy industry with strong working knowledge of CMMS to maintain maintenance strategies and budgets.
  • Experience using MS Project, Excel and budgeting tools.
  • Strong computer and communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems and identify potential solutions by thinking outside of the box to deliver alternative outcomes.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills enabling liaison at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience in maintaining data integrity in the CMMS.
  • Current Unencumbered Western Australian C Class Drivers Licence
