The role
The ANZ Marketing team is responsible for driving growth for the Australian and New Zealand business by acquiring, engaging and retaining consumer and merchant customers and as custodians of the Zip brand.
The Performance Partnerships team is responsible for developing and growing our affiliate strategy, product and proposition through acquiring and optimising partnerships, working with Product and broader marketing teams to reach consumers and our commercial team to reach existing Zip merchants.
Reporting to the CMO, ANZ, you will wear two hats - as the conductor of the Performance Partnerships program requiring you to lead horizontally across the organisation, and the leader of the performance partnerships team, who work directly with clients, agencies, publishers and suppliers to build and optimise relationships and commercials. You will also develop and lead the program strategy and execution, own the Pamp;L, and Go-to-Market strategy.You’ll also:
  • Develop and iterate the strategy and plan to scale the performance partnerships program, revenue and profitability
  • Motivate your team to ensure quarterly targets are achieved, and motivate, train and engage other commercial teams to empower them to have conversations with their clients and integrate the performance partnerships proposition within their conversations
  • Own the contracts and own and nurture vital agency, publisher and SAAS supplier relationships and simultaneously interpret data and validate that affiliate results are achieving the necessary ROI.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to integrate and embed the performance partnerships proposition and ways of working
  • Work closely with the Product team to ensure the affiliate and rewards program are achieving objectives
  • Support new business opportunities and merchant proposals
  • Ensure analytics and reporting are optimised and accurate, competitor activity monitored and plans adjusted accordingly, and emerging trends impacting the future of Affiliate marketing are are understood and informing the strategy
  • Work with the Marketing and Product teams to grow the Rewards program usage through identifying and executing new initiatives and opportunities
  • Develop and drive new monetisation initiatives
  • Work closely with Finance to set and manage budgets, including risks and opportunities
  • Represent Zip at industry events to increase the visibility of Zip’s new business opportunities
  • Support the CMO with other requirements from time to time
To help us level up, you’ll bring:
  • 8+ experience in affiliate marketing and/or loyalty and e-commerce in a similar role, from agency, network, publisher, or client side (APAC experience preferable)
  • Holistic understanding of the affiliate program as a business
  • Ability to think analytically, forecast sales results and manage budgets, contracts, KPIs and campaign performance
  • Existing database of connections within the advertising industry (business development back book a plus)
  • Strategic and critical thinking with experience in managing complex partnership
  • Projectsexperience in strategy development and planning, leveraging data
  • Strong negotiation skills, communication skills and ability to build valuable relationships
  • End-to-end Pamp;L management experience
  • Sound financial amp; commercial acumen
  • Ability to bring diverse stakeholders together to solve a problem and synthesise diversity of opinion to drive the right outcome for the business
