About the role

Employment Hero's Brand amp; Content marketing team is growing! Do you dream about a career where you create TikTok content and Instagram stories every day? Do you spend several hours a day consuming and creating social media content? Then this is maybe the role for you. We are looking for an energetic and passionate Social Media Specialist who can take the charge of our socials to drive adoption for our new consumer app.


We have some big growth plans for 2023! Reporting to our Head of Brand and Content and later the Social Lead, this pivotal new role will help launch and grow our exciting world-first B2C app, which is set to launch in 2022.

Responsibilities
  • Own the social strategy and content calendar for our soon to launch, world-first consumer app brand in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and the UK.
  • Proficient in all major social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Research and stay up to date with social media trends across all major social platforms to inform the content creation aimed at our 750,000 active users.
  • Ideate, plan and create engaging social media content across all social channels, in particular TikTok and Instagram, that positions our new consumer brand in the cultural zeitgeist and pop culture.
  • Stay up to date with trends within the financial services space, and be able to post about financial topics confidently.
  • Work with and help manage influencers and content creators to create content that reaches with and engages our audience.
  • Work with internal subject matter experts, team of writers, designers and the growth marketing team.
  • Respond to and engage with our community across all social platforms.
  • Work with our internal design team and marketing specialist to make your content multimedia, engaging and optimised for each channel.
  • Ensure our brand guidelines, including tone of voice, values and visual identity are adhered to.
  • Continuously assess and report on the results of campaigns and implement improvements where necessary.


Requirements
  • Proven social media marketing experience (minimum 1-2 years) in a high paced marketing, media or freelance environment.
  • Passionate about social media content creation and be an expert in the latest Tiktok trends
  • The ideal candidate will have an understanding of B2C audience segments, and be able to identify emerging content opportunities from the news cycle.
  • Experience with social media scheduling software.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to confidently balance a localised tone of voice and the new brand’s tone of voice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in interpreting data and insights and reporting on social media effectiveness using tools such as Meltwater, Sprout Social and Google Analytics Reports.
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment (things can change quickly at Employment Hero!)
  • Understanding of public relations, digital design or digital advertising experience is a plus.
  • Desired but not essential: hold RG 146 certification.
