About the role
Reporting to Chief Engineer, this position will be responsible for the Eamp;I engineering and design teams, resolution of technical matters associated with the successful capture, launch, design, field investigation or start-up of associated Electrical amp; Instrumentation related projects and dealing with any group matters.
This position will also be responsible to ensure highest safety standards and continuity and optimisation of production, provide all aspects of engineering/technical support and assistance to site-based teams, as well as develop and maintain productive and constructive relationships with site-based personnel, office operations/technical teams and external contractors/vendors Specific budget lines as delegated.
Key Responsibilities
- All Electrical amp; Instrumentation project technical responsibilities, quality of group deliverables and overall success of the Electrical amp; Instrumentation Department.
- Maintain positive working relationship with assigned leads, project managers, vendors and contractors.
- Field services including construction verification, FATs, commissioning, testing, energization.
- Electrical amp; Instrumentation personnel resource management, updates of resource management tools, facilitation of weekly meetings
- Project design including developing project lay out plans, one-line design, network design, power design, utility power coordination, control system, etc.
- Specification of major equipment, development of equipment bid packages, equipment technical and commercial review, equipment bid recommendations, equipment drawing review.
- Development of training programs for the Eamp;I team.
- Calculates and monitors performance indicators in accordance with the technical instruction.
Is the technical reference for Specialists and Designers and ensures the coordination of interdisciplinary activities.
- Develop training programs for the Electrical amp; Instrumentation department.
- Coaching and mentoring of selected engineers, developing group identity, and maintaining positive morale.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; MBA preferred.
- At least ten years of related experience required.
