Our team in Knox are looking for their next Cook, which here at Fonda we call a Kitchen Captain, to join our vibrant, energetic team, which always has our guests are the forefront of our minds.
As the Kitchen Captain, you are in charge of the kitchen on any given shift. You'll lead by example and demonstrate the best practices in all of the Back of House stations.
We're looking for someone that is highly organised and passionate about delivering our customers high quality dishes that exceed the expectations of our guests.

Born in the backstreets of Richmond in 2011, Fonda is a young company with 7 Melbourne restaurants (casas) at Richmond, Windsor, Flinders Lane, Hawthorn, Knox, Chadstone and Collingwood. We also operate Interstate in Bondi and Surry Hills (NSW).
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Ensuring timely, high-quality production and service of meals is established and maintained at all times
Achieve excellent guest reviews, through the serving of high quality dishes, at all times, both taste and presentation are important
Leading from the front by running shifts
Keep high attention to detail, especially during busy times
Make sure the Kitchen is kept clean
Providing on shift coaching and mentoring to out team members
Working with a bunch of legends, that we call our Fondarians
Requirements
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
Experience: You’ve worked a minimum of 1 year in a professional kitchen.
Leadership: Demonstratable leadership experience, preferably in a kitchen setting.
Guest Focus: You are completely obsessed with delivering an exceptional product for our guests. You'll cook for guests like they are friends or family visiting your home.
Action Oriented: You are positive and solutions focused and enjoy a fast paced environment, and look for things to do in quiet times.
Detail focused: You have an incredible attention to detail and are process driven. You’re knowledgeable about food safety and are committed to delivering a safe product 100% of the time.
