About the Role

  • Part Time (0.8 FTE) Maximum Term Contract
  • Classification: Consumer Service Delivery Level 2 with a salary range of $67,322- $72,203 pro rata, per annum + Superannuation
  • Location: Living and Learning Centre, Strathpine

Overview of the position

Wellbeing Coaches will be part of a multidisciplinary team made up of Mental Health Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and Wellbeing Coaches and Peer Coaches. The Wellbeing Coach will deliver individual psychosocial support for consumers, in addition to group facilitation of self-development programs.

  • A strong understanding of supporting people experiencing emotional distress through their recovery journey
  • An ability to articulate and promote the value of and strengths gained from lived experiences of recovery
  • Ability to role-model and develop recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practices across the service.
  • Demonstrate integrity, credibility, and ability to foster open communication
  • Ability to work productively in a fast paced, changing, and dynamic environment

Neami National is a community mental health service supporting people living with mental illness to improve their health, live independently and pursue a life based on their own strengths, values and goals.

Mandatory role requirements:

  • Neami National will require, as part of our condition of employment, that all candidates applying for any position must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (have received three doses), (or have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine and have a scheduled appointment to receive their third dose.)
