About the Role

  • Full time Permanent
  • Classification: Consumer Service Delivery, Level 5, Band 1 with a salary range of $ 97,061 - $101,349 per annum + Superannuation
  • Location: Nundah House

Nundah House is a ten bed sub-acute facility. The service provides an option for people who are becoming unwell or are still recovering from an acute mental illness and need a short period of additional support to complement their treatment. Nundah House is operated by Neami in partnership with the Metro North Hospital and Health service (MNHHS) and aims to prevent avoidable inpatient admissions. During guests stay they are assisted to develop a wellness plan including relapse prevention. The staff team at Nundah House consists of the Senior Practice Leaders, Community Rehabilitation and Support Workers (CRSWs) and Peer Support Workers (PSWs) and is staffed 24 hours per day, 7days per week. The Nundah House service operates on a 7-day rotating roster of morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts.

What you will bring to the role?

  • A valid working with children check
  • A valid Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and empower team members through coaching and mentoring to identify development goals and strategies to achieving them
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience within a mental health setting
  • Uphold ethical behaviour consistent with the values of honesty, fairness, responsibility and hope
  • Demonstrate integrity, credibility and foster open communication
  • Positively listens and consults with others to proactively address conflict
  • Demonstrates an interested and understanding of others and relates well to people at all levels

Neami National is a community mental health service supporting people living with mental illness to improve their health, live independently and pursue a life based on their own strengths, values and goals.

Mandatory role requirements:

  • Neami National will require, as part of our condition of employment, that all candidates applying for any position must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (have received three doses), (or have received two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine and have a scheduled appointment to receive their third dose.)
