Atlassian is seeking a summer intern to join an awesome Accounting team to help drive Atlassian’s continued success. Our intern will be supporting a diverse team with a mix of industry and operational experience. Our interns will provide thought leadership and add value through a wide range of project delivery, operational improvement and management reporting such as assisting with month end tasks, working on process improvement projects, and also have opportunities to work with other finance teams.
This program is open to penultimate year university students with Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Permanent Residency. The internship dates are late November 2023 to late February 2024, full-time for 12 weeks.

• Learn about the business and gain hands on experience using our top-notch Atlassian products
• Work in a fast-paced, high growth and dynamic environment
• Prepare financial analysis, decision support analysis and providing ad-hoc analytical support
• Collaborate with key leaders across the organisation and support them to drive strategic projects
• Engage in continuous process improvement efforts to streamline business processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Present your projects and results to senior leaders across different organisations in the company.

More about you:

• Be able to commit to a 12 week full-time (38hrs / week) internship from late November 2023 until late February 2024. We may be able to flex on this slightly if your course timetable does not allow for a 12 week placement during this timeframe.
• Be currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in Finance, Commerce or Accounting and completing your studies before January 2025
• Strong desire to execute, drive impact, and demonstrate vitality with projects big and small. Be a problem solver.
• Be comfortable operating independently in a constantly evolving environment and with multiple teams relying on your work.
• An owner mentality: You take pride in your work and view what you do as a part-owner and builder of Atlassian.
• You love partnering: You understand that organisations are made up of very different parts. You relish influencing others and co-piloting cross-team initiatives.
