About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who will Lead the Dispatch Team on each shift to provide equipment direction to Open Pit Operations and Mobile Maintenance, so they are able to remain focused on their core doing work.
Reporting to the Production Superintendent (Haul and Dispatch) the key accountabilities include:
- Continually monitor and adapt to best practice Mine Dispatch techniques to achieve the daily mine plan targets.
- Manage blending, refuelling and operational shift breaks throughout the day.
- Ensure all source and destination waypoints are accurate and setup in a timely manner.
- Reporting all variations to the mine plan to the Production Coordinator.
- Conduct daily data validation.
- Accurately monitor status records through-out the shift.
- Work with the Dispatch Operators to ensure WENCO is maintained and up to date as mine developments progresses.
- Focus on any opportunities that can be implemented during the shift or 24hr plan to increase production efficiencies.
- Liaise with Supervisors/Leading hands during the shift.
- Liaise with Maintenance Personnel and the primary crusher controller.
- Monitoring, managing, and responding efficiently and accurately to the Superintendent Production (Haul and Dispatch)
- Build and maintain your Dispatch team culture to align with NSR-KCGM goals and Way of Working.
- Build and maintain team capability and coverage as agreed with your Superintendent. Train Dispatch team members on how to fully utilise the dispatch system and minimize variation between operators.
- Lead the shift(daily) production meetings. Record the shift priorities. Work with the Production Coordinator and Shift Production Engineers to manage changes to priority.
Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Mining operational Fleet Management Systems
Experience
- Mine Dispatch experience required
- Mine Dispatch Supervision / coordination desirable
