The Role
The Medical Administrator position reports to the Practice Manager and if a vital role for the practice. This newly created part time position is designed to manage and improve the organisation’s Medicare billing process which includes:
About You
You will be a bit of a whizz, confident in Medicare billing practices, most likely from experience working within a general practice setting or similar. You’ll also be patient and persistent - you know resolving billing/claiming issues with Medicare can sometimes take a while. Your detail-oriented nature means you are always up-to-date with the latest in billing changes, and you will seek out engaging ways of imparting that knowledge to your colleagues helping to build their skill level and accuracy too. You will also be experienced in developing amp; implementing systems for ongoing quality improvement.
Salary amp; Benefits
The Medical Administrator position is offered on a 0.6 fte part time basis (15.2 hrs p/wk) , with no weekends required. Days and hours negotiable.
