Working as part of our Journey Beyond Group, you play an integral role in supporting our business to share special places and shape lasting memories.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
as well as identify process and internal control improvement.
Initially forming part of the Revenue team to navigate the transition to a new ERP, the successful candidate will then have the opportunity to apply their accounting skills and experience more broadly across the group corporate accounting function.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing and processing aspects of the month end accounting process under IFRS
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial accounts for the business
- Assist in the preparation of the group's consolidated monthly management reports
- Assist in the consolidation of the corporate and divisional budgets and forecasts
- Reconcile information between internal financial and non-financial systems
- Prepare monthly variance analysis
- Providing commentary on financial performance
- Ensuring all accounts are reconciled accurately and in a timely manner
- Liaising with the external auditors
- Preparation and lodgement to external stakeholders (BAS, FBT, Surveys etc.)
- Management and reporting of cashflow
- Participate in finance projects
- Other appropriate tasks as required within the scope of corporate finance
YOUR KEY ATTRIBUTES:
To be successful you will have tertiary qualifications in Business/ Accounting with CPA/ CA (desirable). You will have strong experience and understanding of finance systems and be able to communicate this with other finance function staff.
You will be reliable, professional, organised and show initiative, while also demonstrating a strong customer service orientation and have an exceptional business acumen.
In support of the above you will also have:
- High level numeracy and reconciliation skills with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy with figures
- Advanced spreadsheet capabilities to include presentation of numerical information in tabular and graphical formats
- Flexibility to set and change priorities as work demands
