An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our forward thinking Aged Care organisation, located at our Peace Haven and Fred French Facilities. You will be required to work across the two facilities 3 days per week, 9am-4pm.
Based in Launceston, the primary purpose of the Hairdresser is to provide friendly, attentive and efficient service to our valued residents so they can retain their personal specific hairdressing requirements and maintain their lifestyle preference and independence. The role is part of the Leisure and Lifestyle team.
Requirements
What you can bring to the role:
- Certificate III in Hairdressing
- Work practices that demonstrate the provision of independence, privacy and dignity
- Current C class drivers’ license
- Previous experience in Aged Care advantageous
Reporting directly to the Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator, in the role you will:
- Provide resident hairdressing requirements
- Provide basic beauty needs including nail care and facial hair maintenance
- Display excellent customer service and an enthusiastic, positive and bubbly and happy personality in all your resident interactions
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and experience in your hair dressing abilities
- Effectively prioritise work tasks and activities to meet business needs
To be considered for employment with Respect, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
