We’ve grown a lot lately, so the Procurement team is now looking for a Sourcing Specialist to support our strategic sourcing team in a category management role. Effectively integrating with suppliers and internal networks to deliver strategic and business-oriented goals. You will assist with the successful execution of category plans, supplier sourcing and management as well as ongoing data administration.
Your Role:
- Category management, category and supplier reviews. Specifically managing the Market-Place and Bezzie pet food categories.
- Sourcing new suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships as well as development of existing supply-base.
- Communicating confidently and professionally in all forms of communication with suppliers.
- Supporting with data maintenance and management across multiple platforms.
- Working between internal and external stakeholders to communicating and resolving time-sensitive problems.
Requirements
This is you:
- 3+ years experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing or a similar position.
- Proven experience working within a food and/or pet food based company.
- Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in making analytical, customer insight driven decisions.
- Ambitious, entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented and data-driven team player with high integrity.
- Knowledge of or experience in sourcing category strategy, supplier relationship management and supplier continuous improvement programs.
- Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Clear and compelling written and verbal communication.
- Solves issues with ease and is able to prioritise, comfortable with the daily differences that arise.
- Proven experience in an analytical, data-driven or administrative role
- Experience with MS Office Suite, G-Suite, ERP software
- Innovative thinker and collaborative mindset, and the ability to work across multiple teams and levels simultaneously. You should be able to problem-solve on the go.
- Independent working self starter who can integrate well with others and be prepared to tackle new issues head-on.
