About the Role

This role would suit a highly experienced sales and agribusiness leader with a deep understanding of agronomy and the inputs farmers use and how profits are generated from growing corn, barley, wheat, and other broad acre crops.

You will have a sincere interest in helping farmers and go-to-market partners improve production practices, supporting them as they leverage our microbial products to improve soil health and soil carbon and realise associated economic benefits with the support of Loam’s carbon platform

You will have experience and a clear understanding of how to operate in a startup environment committed to meeting important milestones and commercial outcomes.

This role can be based in either Sydney or Orange, NSW.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, drive and implement the commercial go-to-market strategy for Loam Carbon Markets in Australia
  • Build and lead the Australian Carbon Markets business, responsible for grower carbon project sales amp; extension and carbon project delivery
  • Identify, develop and manage appropriate relationships with key channel partners, agronomy networks, major growers and other market participants
  • Develop a best in class grower sales and extension capability, using innovative approaches to drive rapid adoption and penetration of carbon projects across Australia
  • Develop a superior carbon project delivery capability focused on grower satisfaction and economic performance
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing operation of processes, KPIs and systems to support scalability and efficiency across both sales and project delivery teams
  • Collaborate closely with the Australian product development teams to help advise on commercial considerations for project development priorities and timing, and advise on key datasets and other development outcomes important for successful commercialisation in Australia
  • Collaborate closely with the Measurement amp; Technology team to leverage and deploy all appropriate technologies, protocols and systems
  • Manage to appropriate country level budgets and targets
  • Facilitate regular discussions with both internal and account stakeholders
  • Provide regular updates on account plans objectives and result

Requirements

  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience within Agriculture or Agribusiness in a techno-commercial capacity, with experience/exposure to Carbon Markets
  • Proven ability to lead and build a fast paced and dynamic team which can operate in a highly agile and innovative environment
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing country/product/functional level strategies for market entry and adoption in the agricultural sector
  • Strong track record and expertise in building and leading an agribusiness sales organisation
  • Expertise and experience in large scale project management and operations
  • Confidence in calling on the most successful players in the Australian agriculture industry - including retailers, processors/merchants and large growers
  • Expert-level skills in managing commercial processes and business administration
  • Extreme desire to win
  • Highly analytical and data oriented, skilled at working with complex business data and commercials
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Email
  • Proven track-record in developing and managing talent
