Cape Mentelle Vineyard is proud to be one of Margaret River’s ‘founding’ wineries. Our winery has pioneered many of the region’s renowned wine styles and today is a benchmark for the quality of the region’s wines. We aim to produce wines that capture a unique sense of place in every bottle. These characteristics are defined by our pristine coastal location, unique soils, and 50 years of viticultural history.
In this role you will have the opportunity to build an intimate knowledge of our wines and winemaking process and use this knowledge to lead our guests on engaging tours of the winery and generate sales from positive customer experiences.
We are looking for a Wine Educator amp; Tour Guide/Host extraordinaire who can educate and guide our guest bringing their wine knowledge and exceptional customer service ability to create memorable experiences for our guests.
Do you have:
- Extensive wine knowledge to host private experiences and VIP wine tasting
- A passion for taking guests on winery / vineyard tours showing them our behind the scenes experiences, educating guests on winemaking practice and viticultural
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Be able food prep and apply attention to detail presentation
- Exceptional customer service skills and sales experience also an advantage
- WSET level 2/3 preferred or min 2 years working in wine industry
- Position is 3-4 days per week, covering some weekend work when required
- Candidates currently in Margaret River (or surrounding suburbs) are preferred
Requirements
In order to succeed in this position, you will have:
- A current RSA certificate amp; WSET LEVEL 2 preferred with a min of 2 years experience working in a cellar door
- Experience in hosting winery tours and private tastings
- Prior knowledge of best practice in service and food/wine and strong sales experience
- Food preparation and handling
- A passion for creating engaging experiences with customers
- Exceptional ability to provide memorable service
- A high standard of personal presentation
- High energy, a positive attitude and enjoy working in a team environment
- Intermediate level MS office
- Permanent resident/citizen or the legal right to work in Australia
This is a permanent part time position 3 - 4 days per week including weekends depending on the business needs.
