This is an exciting and flexible full-time opportunity for a genuine 'people' person with strong attention to detail and super administration skills. We are seeking an experienced Retirement Living Manager for our new village - Reed Estate located in Prospect, Tasmania.

The Retirement Village Manager is responsible to lead and provide high quality service to village residents by managing all aspects of independent living accommodation. The Retirement Village Manager will be responsible for building relationships with and between residents, ensuring that all organisational and regulatory requirements are met and providing leadership and support to Village staff.

Requirements

What you can bring to the role:

For this appointment we are seeking an experienced professional with managerial experience within Retirement Living or an adjacent industry, such as hospitality.

The successful candidate will have an established track record in delivering high customer service-focused outcomes across a varied team. In addition, the successful candidate will have;

  • Demonstrated success in a similar level management role, with a proven track record in managing a multi-faceted service organisation.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with an understanding of and empathy towards all people.
  • Highly developed visual, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Financial acumen and accounting skills.
  • An understanding of budgets, contracts and capital works expenditure.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and commitments.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the village and the effective management in accordance with regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. You'll provide support to the Chief of Retirement Living in developing, implementing, and reinforcing policies, processes and practices that strive for continual improvement.
