Lyka was built on the belief that all puppers should live their best life, well into their 20s. This wellness journey starts through nutrition, where Lyka offers human-grade meals delivered D2C, but continues through therapeutic products and care services and beyond.

Our company is mission-driven and began when our founder Anna went on a journey to improve her dog’s Lyka health. Anna started creating a homemade diet for Lyka. In just a few weeks, Lyka had more energy, less tooth decay, and a healthier coat.

Since then, Team Lyka has grown to a team of over 100 ambitious and like-minded pet-lovers that are setting new benchmarks for how the pet industry operates and for how Australian brands interact with their customers.


MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lyka is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and hands on Strategy amp; Operations professional to join the Strategy amp; Ops team and contribute to the development and execution of major organisational objectives. Our team performs detailed analysis across a wide range of different strategic business problems, and defines effective and scalable solutions across to business problems across multiple functions as Lyka continues to expand and evolve. This role will provide the opportunity to significantly impact Lyka's success and will provide to gain both breadth and depth of experience across Lyka's business and functional areas.

  • Strategy: Helping to develop and set the strategic priorities and planning at both an organisational and functional level
  • Operations: implementing and managing the key business initiatives and projects cross-functionally (working closely with all teams throughout the business and in particular Manufacturing amp; Supply Chain)

Specifically, this role(s) will be responsible for:

  • Developing end-to-end knowledge and expertise across the entire business, including understanding of operational, marketing, product, customer, data and technology constraints
  • Leading and supporting ad-hoc analysis and execution of critical business problems (e.g. operationalising new products, facilities, entry into new markets/channels, working with new suppliers, acquisitions, financial modelling, etc.),
  • Working with relevant internal and external stakeholders to define and execute solutions in the Manufacturing amp; Supply Chain space
  • Scaling existing processes or defining new processes/tools (both physical and technology/system-based) to support Lyka's continued growth, and running these or handing these over to relevant stakeholders as required

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Relevant experience in fast-paced, analytically heavy role(s) - e.g., management consulting, banking, strategy/operations (experience in a high-growth start-up/tech environment is also a plus but not required).
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of business problems and constraints (experience in Manufacturing amp; Supply Chain a plus)
  • Track record of personal and professional achievement
  • Experience working cross-functionally - working with, presenting to, and influencing stakeholders
  • Ability to break large and complex problems into smaller and executable components
  • Ability to work with data to perform detailed analysis and modelling - Advanced Excel skills required at a minimum
  • Motivated, hard-working and career-driven, with an entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset (including the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment)
  • Organized, including the ability to self-manage and prioritise competing demands
  • A high level of attention to detail and a knack for ‘picking out and identifying problems’
  • Verbal amp; written communication skills
