Easygo is a well-established tech startup, we pride ourselves on being early adopters, progressive in our approach and adaptable to the ever-changing technology landscape. Our core focus is in the online gaming space building well-designed casino games, crypto platforms, and sportsbooks. The products we build are used by millions of people around the world and you’ll see their logos on an EPL team, the UFC, advocated by e-gamers and in a number of other sporting places.

Twist Gaming is a new venture created by the founders of Easygo with new studios in Australia and Europe. Twist Gaming's vision is to be the leading content provider in the gambling industry thanks to its fresh approach to building top-notch slot and table games available to online casinos worldwide through a single API to its remote game server.

The last 2 years have been huge for us as we have grown from 20 to 140+ team members. Whilst the products that we build are global, the majority of the team sits in Melbourne at our Australian headquarters in the heart of the CBD where we have 2 amazing offices in the same building with all the bells and whistles you could ever want including in-house barista, pool, and table tennis tables, PS5 and Nintendo Switches, a meditation room, help yourself drinks fridge and snack wall, catered breakfast daily, weekly massages and a pub lunch.

What you will do

Utilising technologies such as Typescript, Pixi, and Canvas, you will be developing games for some of the top gaming websites globally. You will be working closely with other engineers, as well as our teams of artists and developers to help design, prototype, and develop these games for a wide variety of desktop and mobile platforms.

We have customers around the world who play in different languages and under different rules and regulations. We maintain a multitude of games, integrations, admin screens, live monitoring tools and native apps.


You will be responsible for building the following features into our games:

  • Game state machine
  • Game UI
  • End to end tests
  • Game logic
  • Animations
  • Sprite sheets
  • Helping package and maintain continuous deployments

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Development of our exciting innovative games and features
  • Implementation of animations, game effects
  • Optimisation of the game for best performance on devices and browsers
  • Take part in design and feature discussions and planning
  • Design, code and debug core platform components
  • Produce readable and reusable code
  • Work at all stages of the product lifecycle from requirements capture, through design and implementation to testing and integration
  • Increase efficiency through automation, workflow streamlining, and system optimization
  • Keeping current with new technologies and making recommendations to the team
  • Provide coaching to other team members
  • Dedicate care and responsibility for the final quality of the product
  • Be passionate about creating an engaging visual gaming experience
  • Promote high code standards within the team


Requirements


You’re perfect for this role if
  • 2(ish) years frontend development experience
  • Javascript
  • HTML Canvas
  • Pixi.js, Phaser or similar
It would be a bonus if you also had (Desirable skills):
  • Experience working with large codebases
  • TypeScript
  • ReactJS or similar
  • Declarative programming
  • Storybook
  • Previous casino game development (especially slots)
  • Cryptocurrency knowledge would be advantageous
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Airtable amp; Intercom
  • Australian work rights are preferred.
