Job Description

At Stile, we create world-class resources for science teachers, whom we call superheroes because they are. Our resources (think videos, lesson plans, questions, simulations, activities and more!) spark excitement and curiosity in every student.

Over 400,000 students and 8,000 teachers around the country and increasingly around the world use Stile, and we expect this to more than double in the next couple of years in line with our international expansion strategy (USA here we come!). In the last 12 months, we’ve expanded our team from 40 to over 70. We’re growingfast, and frankly, we could use your help!

We’re looking for a Director of People amp; Culture to join our Executive team. This is a newly created role, absorbing responsibilities currently shared between a few members of the team.

Our Executive team is highly collaborative and together take broad responsibility for Stile’s success and strategic direction. While all members of this team have specific responsibilities, all are also expected to lend input, expertise and time to help each other solve thorny problems.

As the Director of People amp; Culture, it won’t come as a surprise that you’ll be responsible for all things people. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the People amp; Culture team, develop a world class leadership program and position Stile as an employer of choice. As we evolve and grow, you’ll define and champion the culture we want at Stile.

Responsibilities

Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for making Stile(ists) successful.

  • Lead, mentor, coach and grow a small People amp; Culture team.
  • Provide high level strategic People amp; Culture advice to our Executive and Leadership team.
  • Help define our future growth plans and people needs.
  • Develop a program to empower a team of world class leaders.
  • Position Stile as an employer of choice.
  • Lead the development, implementation and improvement of people processes and systems.

There is scope for this role to grow, potentially evolving into a Chief People Officer over time.
