What we are looking for

TMP is looking for a HR Manager to join our growing team! This hands-on individual will be instrumental in building out our Australia People processes while joining us on our mission to position TMP as the place to build a career in B2B marketing and beyond.

Your influence throughout the entire employee lifecycle will be felt by team members as the opportunity unfolds to cultivate culture and deliver excellent service.

This position will work closely with our People Director in US amp; APAC supporting regional consistencies where appropriate as part of the global People team. Opportunity to work either part-time or full-time with flexible hours.


What you will do

  • Reporting to the People Director in US amp; APAC you will develop and deliver a comprehensive human resources service and ensure that staff are retained, developed, and supported to meet current and future strategic objectives
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy that effectively meets the business needs and adds value to the business best practices in markets within APAC region
  • Act as an on the ground business partner to the regional managing director and leadership team
  • Advise Management Team in the implementation of strategic efforts including organisational structure, culture, and leadership competencies
  • Cross-collaborate and provide feedback to key stakeholders across different geographies to improve business efficiency and advocate for both the people and the HR function within APAC as an in region subject matter expert
  • Provide coaching, development, and training to enhance management capability and accountability. Function as a trusted adviser to managers in coaching them on successful employee development, problem/conflict resolution and performance management
  • Collaborate with Finance and people managers to ensure all employees are paid accurately and timely. Maintain the integrity of employee payroll data and all related employee information systems within our HRIS system BambooHR
  • Work with management on adverse employment actions and manage the review of all termination requests to ensure compliance with due process, proper supporting documentation, and adherence to company’s policies and/or contractual requirements. Engage Legal and Labour Relations, as required
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are reviewed regularly and revised as appropriate to comply with employment law and government directives
  • Negotiate, enhance, and administer global company benefits programs from a local perspective including contract renewals and negotiations, employee enrolment, plan administration and required reporting
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure all new hire contracts are sent out in a timely manner and work closely on Talent process efficiencies and experience as well as ongoing capacity planning
  • Own and manage our new-hire onboarding and off-boarding processes while ensuring we are constantly streamlining and optimizing efforts
  • Provide day-to-day interface with employees on HR related topics and maintain employee files
  • Lead and evangelise DEI initiatives and progress on a global scale with regional implementations
  • Ensure compliance with all Australia specific laws and regulations while ensuring familiarity with the Fair Work Act in addition to possessing a thorough knowledge of labour laws and best practices outside of the APAC region
  • Assist in other projects and drive the roll out of new initiatives and programs as assigned

Requirements

Who you are

  • 5+ years HR Generalist experience or HR Advisor
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, including employment law and regulation
  • Strong mediation and conflict resolution experience
  • Ability to inspire engagement, motivation, retention, and productivity
  • Ability to work well under pressure and flexible in adapting and responding to changing situations
