Place Estate Agents are seeking to appoint a Conveyancing Assistant or Conveyancer to work out of our new Head Office location in Fortitude Valley! Reporting to the Manager of Legal and Compliance, your position will be driven around compliance, so you play an exceptionally important role!

Utilise your conveyancing experience and expertise in a fun and dynamic industry where we don’t take ourselves too seriously! Be prepared for your day to be highly reactive surrounding the sales activity of Brisbane's largest real estate sales force your ability to multi-task, whilst meeting deadlines will be one of your best attributes!

This is a full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday with a rostered Saturday once a month and is available for immediate start.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Manage residential sale contracts from issue to settlement;
• Conduct title searches and company searches;
• Prepare correspondence to both internal and external parties;
• Communicate with solicitors on behalf of Place and our Agents seeking support and guidance from the team leader where required;
• Ensure contract conditions have been met including the payment of deposits and finance approval;
• Verify settlement funds and pay-outs for approval prior to settlement; and
• Assist with projects for the betterment of the team and service levels.

Requirements

• Previous conveyancing / conveyancing assistance experience;
• Sound understanding of legal principles for conveyancing;
• Proficient computer skills - MS Office Suite as a minimum;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent time management and organisational skills;
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines; and
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
