ABOUT THE ROLE:
As the Executive Chef you will be responsible for managing the meal plans to all our camps amp; lodges, this will include food delivery, supplier communication, liaison with site chefs as well as providing guidance amp; training.
We operate in a 2-season environment, during our peak season your ability to work under pressure will see you stay calm and then in our off-peak season it is all about forward planning with a strong attention to detail.
This is a permanent full time position based in the Darwin office and travel as required to our camps amp; lodges.
ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for an Executive Chef that has extensive experience leading kitchen teams as well as multi-site or multi-chef management experience (remote camps amp; lodges experience will be highly regarded).
Ideally you will also have tertiary qualification in Culinary Science.
You must have:
- Capacity to travel for multiple days away from home
- Ability to work autonomously
- Team player
- Exceptional written and spoken communication skills
- Flexible with work hours
- Exceptional problem solving and negotiation skills
- Adaptable under pressure ability to innovate
