Job Description
Ofload is one of Australia’s Top 50 start-ups, backed by notable industry and VC investors, including Maersk, Flexport, Lineage, King River.
The Australian freight industry is highly fragmented with 58k+ carriers, of which 80% own less than 10 trucks, resulting in the longtail being underused. Our vision is to achieve zero waste in trucking by empowering the long tail of small-medium carriers through technology.
Ofload has just acquired Melbourne freight specialist CIA Logistics and secured $60m in Series B funding! We are growing at 6x per annum, with plans to continue to scale significantly over the next six months and beyond.
The team
Operations is at the heart of our business, ensuring the lights are kept on and the freight keeps moving. The team is responsible for establishing systems and processes so incredibly seamless that Ofload customers and carriers are ensured unrivalled efficiency and top-notch service.
About you
You are a strong operator who is eager to get your foot in the door as an early member at a fast paced, rapidly growing technology startup. You want to get your hands dirty and assist in building the carrier base by any means possible. You take a high degree of ownership in your work and are ready to attack unfamiliar problems with high energy and a refusal to settle. You are enthusiastic to learn new skills and thrive in a fast moving environment.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of a wide variety of projects and drive them to success.
- Support the Supply Growth Manager of Ofload in the daily business.
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues in a creative and timely manner.
- Ability to anticipate potential problems and drive towards preventive measures.
- Analyse carrier performance and insights.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (strategy, marketing, policy) to ensure smooth business operations.
- Build operational processes and drive towards automation.
- Analyze and manage supply-side platform health.
- Track product use and performance for carriers, and work with our product and engineering teams to make improvements to the carrier side of our platform.
- Engage with our carrier and customers directly and regularly.
- Relationship and account management, managing carrier performance and drive revenue growth.
Requirements

- Previous work experience in operations, analytics, marketing, product management or strategy.
- Also open to graduate applications.
- Strong relationship management skills - able to adapt your communication style to suit a number of different personalities.
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives.
- Experience in transport / logistics is highly advantageous.
- Self-motivated; able to work independently and think creatively to deliver results.
- Drives for increased responsibility and self-development.
- Scrappy - willing to dive in, hands-on and do what’s needed.
