Role Description

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of a number of private school projects in our Education sector, with an initial focus on the ‘front end’ of the projects.

Located in our Melbourne office, you’ll be responsible for working with key stakeholders to identify which projects should be completed first, and then managing the briefing and design phase with the community.

A Project Manager with a strong background in Design Management (on Education projects) is highly sought after.

You’ll also:

  • Oversee early works stages, including masterplanning and scoping of works.
  • Manage the design team, interfacing between key stakeholders, user groups and Government entities.
  • Manage the tender, planning and procurement process.
  • Foster relationships with school principals, teaching staff, Facilities Managers and maintenance departments to identify key requirements in each project.
  • Engage with contractors and consultants.
  • Oversee contract management, variations and claims.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role you’ll need demonstrated experience as a Client-Side Project Manager on Education projects, ideally with a background in Design Management.

Experience with private schools would be highly advantageous.

You’ll also need:

  • Experience in design management and overseeing planning approvals.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and a customer-focused mindset.
  • A willingness to work with team members and deliver outstanding outcomes for clients.
  • A desire to contribute to the overall growth of the business.
  • Qualifications in Project Management, Design Management, Architecture, or related discipline.
