Our support coordination services assist our supported people with everything to do with the NDIS, from accessing NDIS funding all the way through to receiving the right supports for them.
The Role
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain up to date knowledge and relationships with service providers
- Help participants connect to NDIS and other supports (funded, mainstream, community and informal)
- Build a participant’s capacity and capability to understand their NDIS Plan, navigate the NDIS and make their own decisions
- Broker supports and services in line with a participant’s wishes and their plan budget
- Support participants to trial options, design a support approach and negotiate service agreement in line with their preferences
- Monitor plan budgets and support effectiveness
- Engage in crisis planning, prevention mitigation and action as appropriate
About you
- You love helping others and being of service it’s just who you are
- You put people at ease quickly and build relationships effortlessly
- People always comment on how organised and efficient you are. You like to be busy and enjoy a challenge
- If you don’t know, you Google it or you ask! You are curious and love to keep learning
- You enjoy administration work and are confident using computer systems (email, word processing, basic budgeting sheets)
- You may have personal experience with disability or the willingness and ability to learn quickly
- You are experienced working autonomously towards goals ideal backgrounds include: real-estate, employment services, sales/customer service, small business, recruitment, banking amp; finance, insurance, workers compensation
