Job Description
MyDeal.com.au is an online marketplace that focuses on providing everything for your home (furniture, homewares, garden, appliances and more). We connect our customers with millions of products sold by Australia’s leading retailers.
This role will report directly to the General Counsel, working to help design, implements and oversees the MyDeal's Product Safety framework engaging key stakeholders and operationalising business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical product safety reviews and analysis to support buying team function
- Engage and manage external consultant relationships (Compliance Wise);
- Manages and oversees implementation of sustainability framework including modern slavery reporting and sustainability commitments through product, Goods For Resale and Goods and Services Not For Resale providers;
- Manages and oversees reporting of key metrics both internally a and prepares all relevant reporting for audit purposes;
- Organises and oversees training of all key personnel in training commitments for product compliance in concert with the General Counsel;
- Actively explores automation opportunities to reduce cost and handling of compliance processes while maintaining optimal integrity, goals and value of the framework.
- Builds and manages a Marketplace Trust and Safety Team to enhance oversight and safety compliance of our third party seller network;
- Manage key projects through to successful completion and engage key stakeholders on implementation of projects;
- Enhance product quality assurance procedures;
- Monitor and advise the business on developments in the product safety landscape.
- Manage key regulator relationships.
Requirements
- Technical product safety knowledge across a broad range of retail and regulated product categories (electronics and appliances, children and baby, sleepwear, apparel, etc.);
- Experience in online retail and marketplaces preferred.
