About the Role
The Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander liaison officer will be available to provide a culturally safe response for participants of the program who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, as well as all other people accessing the program. This position contributes to the understanding of the well-being needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and, will work within the team to assist with the development and delivery of social and emotional wellbeing support and cultural awareness and knowledge. Neami acknowledges that our organisation and wider community will be stronger and deeper because of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander voices leading our journey together. It is essential that the successful applicant has significant experience working with, and has connections to, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island communities.
