About the role:
At Civica, our purpose is to support schools and teachers in improving student outcomes by providing outstanding tools and smart software solutions. We are looking for a senior educator with timetabling experience to join our Education Team.
In this role, you will act as subject matter expert and work with internal stakeholders as well as customers on enhancing the tools and services we provide to teachers and school leaders. We are looking for a passionate and innovative self-starter with a keen interest in software tools to drive business process improvements.

- You have a minimum of 5-10 years’ experience working in an Australian Secondary or K-12 school in a teaching or leadership role
- You have a good understanding of Timetabling and other school processes in a secondary school environment
- You are passionate about improving school operations and the lives of teachers
- You love engaging with people and you have strong stakeholder management skills
- You have an analytical mindset and are a natural problem solver
- Ideally you will have had hands-on experience with one or more of the Timetabling software solutions used in schools
A day in the life
You will be part of the Product Team and work with Product Managers and Business Analyst on product enhancements and product direction. This will include evaluating current functionality and defining a roadmap of ongoing improvements.
You will become the product team’s expert for Timetabling and Teacher Tools and will regularly be involved in meetings with schools, groups of schools or governing bodies. This will include presenting at customer events, user groups and special interest groups.
In addition, you will participate in tender responses and sales presentations lead by our Sales Team and work with the Marketing Team on product collateral and product release amp; launch activities.
