About the Role

  • Full Time, Part-Time, Casual Positions Available

We are seeking Community Rehabilitation and Support Workers (CRSW) to work one on one with consumers in our support programs including Individual Psychosocial Rehabilitation Support Services (IPRSS), Housing and Accommodation Support (HASP) or Intensive Home Support Services (IHBSS) program in either our Hendon or Salisbury offices.

Community Rehabilitation and Support Workers provide a range of rehabilitation and support to consumers, tailored to meet their individual needs. Neami National's work with consumers occurs within their own community of friends, family and neighbourhood. You will work closely with clinical case managers and other community partner organisations in order to deliver the best possible comprehensive service to consumers.

About the Programs

IRSS and HASP programs are aimed at people aged 16 years and over, where support is voluntary and who have experienced episodes of mental illness, with referrals made through community mental health teams. In practice, people often have a range of needs and are experience other challenges as well. Support provided is primarily in the person’s home and is determined by the aims and needs of the consumer. The purpose of the support is to assist a person in their recovery and build skills and confidence to be living independently and reaching their aspirations.

IHBSS program is aimed at people aged 16 years and over who have experienced acute episodes of mental illness. In practice, people often have a range of other complex needs as well. Each person is provided with up to three months of intensive support in their home either after leaving a hospital as a way of ‘stepping down’, or ‘stepping up’ to receiving support to avoid a hospital admission. Referrals are made through community mental health teams.
