The role
The Team Manager - Platform Engineering is responsible for providing proactive operational leadership for those involved in the development, design and optimisation of one or more information technology and systems functions supporting company business processes and technical information systems platforms.
What you’ll do
- Ensure the team’s technical quality of work meets required standards and defined technical deliverables are met.
- Change leadership through the provision of sound advice, and by improving systems and processes, to support the vision for Platform Engineering and the development of customer focused strategies and initiatives.
- Identifying, planning, and undertaking service improvements and efficiencies, to constantly improve customer experience and team efficiency.
- Maintaining awareness of knowledge bases and knowledge articles and utilise this documentation to ensure customers receive current and correct assistance.
- Coordinating, scheduling, and managing the utilisation team members.
- Building a professional and productive relationship with internal and external parties
What you’ll bring
You will bring at least 8+ years technical engineering experience with strong understanding in Linux, Cloud and Windows concepts. You must be able to demonstrate a competent level of knowledge of IT processes and technologies, including working ITIL processes. You will be confident with people management skills and have exceptional oral and written communication skills in both informal settings and formal presentations. This role will suit those with strong analytical and conceptual abilities and a commitment to action and results.
