Job Description

STEPS Labour amp; Recruitment provides Permanent, Temporary, and Contract Recruitment for skilled trades, engineers, project managers, administration and management staff. We work across a wide range of industry sectors including the Construction, Defence, Resource, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Utility industries. We are seeking an experienced recruitment consultant to specialise in recruitment of skilled trades personnel across all industry sectors that we serve.

Quite simply we understand Trades people amp; Engineers and help them develop their careers and businesses.

Requirements

So what are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a strong trades background in a few of the industries we work across, a few years sales experience and at least 5 years experience working in the recruitment industry or in a senior supervisory/management role employing trades persons. We’re looking for someone who’s got competitive DNA, wants to be a successful sales person, i.e. make some money and work alongside a group of like minded driven individuals, working to achieve the same goals.

STEPS Labour amp; Recruitment is part of the IPM Engineering group of companies including Engineering amp; Project Management Consultancies, Contractors, Product Sales and Distribution, so we have the capacity to offer clients a lot more than just recruitment services and this helps to open doors with new clients and provides an existing client base to work with. You’ve got the opportunity to be supported to build your own client portfolio, be taught and coached by exceptional mentors. You will be set up for a very successful career within recruitment.

What do we need?

We are looking for someone who thrives on developing relationships, is competitive but also collaborates with team-mates, and has a unrelenting desire to be successful. You are positive, confident and are a enthusiastic team player with a way with words. You’ve got a practical trades background, 3+ years sales experience and at least 5 years experience working in the recruitment industry or in a senior supervisory/management role employing trades persons (including responsibility for hiring).You need to be eager to win new relationships and develop your network, as recruitment is all about people.
