A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level Buyer to join our Trivett team in Melbourne. The Trivett Automotive Retail brand is represented by our individual dealerships who are located around Australia.

About the Role

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role provides the used-car sales department with a supply of marketable used cars and assists the Procurement Manager in maximising sales opportunities through effective valuing and buying trade stock.

Further to the above the duties and responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Valuing vehicles offered for trade in
  • Arranging direct purchase of stock to meet the trading needs of the used car sales centres
  • Ensure online valuation leads are actioned
  • Support retail sites by achieving monthly vehicle acquisition targets
  • Ensure suitable stock mix is available
  • Maintain strong relationships with the team
  • Provide supporting documentation for all deals within approved timeframes

Further to the above some of your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

About you:

  • Previous experience working in a purchasing team - desirable not essential
  • Good knowledge of purchasing, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown - desirable not essential
  • Negotiation skills
  • Valid drivers licence
  • Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships
