Job Description

If you’re ambitious, love food, and want to be part of a growing company filled with opportunities, keep reading.

Since 2014, we've created the global brands Marley Spoon (Martha Stewart amp; Marley Spoon in the US) and Dinnerly to deliver meal kits with unique, easy-to-cook recipes and top-quality, pre-portioned ingredients. And bezzie, our dog food brand, caters to our four-legged friends too.

From day one, you’ll have the autonomy to use your initiative to bring your ideas to life, inspire your team members, and keep learning. Because we know that when you grow, we grow. You’ll own your role and have a lot on your plate, and you’ll be part of a stellar team that will support you along the way. And at the start of every day, we hope you feel proud and motivated to work for a better, more sustainable way to shop, cook, and eat.

So, ready to cook up an application?

We’ve grown a lot lately, so our Culinary department is now looking for two Culinary Operations Officers. These cross-functional roles are responsible for the operational efficiency and success of key Culinary deliverables, with a focus on two current functions: 1. Menu Creation - building varied and innovative weekly menus for Marley Spoon and Dinnerly customers and 2. Supply Incident Management - coordinating and executing a response to ingredient supply issues to minimise their impacts on customers and business operations. Each officer will execute both functions but have a primary area of responsibility. These roles would suit someone with a strong food background with a keen interest in process and planning.

Your role

  • Assist with inventory ingredient requirements across different departments
  • Provide information to the Innovations team to enhance the AU Pantry
  • Collaborate closely with a range of teams including Procurement, Operations, Finance and Customer Care to coordinate internal responses to supply incidents
  • Identify substitute ingredients to mitigate supply shortages and draft relevant recipe updates
  • Mitigate the impact of supply incidents on recipe performance and menu performance, and analyse cost implications to identify best customer-meets-business solution
  • Improve and manage cross-functional processes for menu planning and handling supply incidents
  • Identify, build and adapt current Culinary Operational processes as the team, systems and business requires

Requirements

  • Food related tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the food industry
  • Proven experience in recipe development preferred
  • Experienced working within and managing budgets
  • Confidence with G-suite products, especially Google Sheets
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly (including in-house systems)
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Collaborator who works well across teams and functions, with the ability to manage a fast-paced workload with enthusiasm and a can-do attitude
  • Embraces a team culture, and committed to making a positive difference and impact in their role
  • Having your own car is preferable, as this role will require you to work occasionally from our Fulfilment Centre located in Wetherill Park

Benefits
