About the role
Within our broader BI and Analytics team, we currently have a unique and exciting role for an experienced Data Engineer to provide specialist expertise in the design, implementation, and operational support of our BI Enterprise Assets.
This is a real end-to-end style role, with the ability to directly influence and support our broader team.
This role supports the full life-cycle management of BI System and Services. You will need to work in a fast-paced environment delivering innovative solutions to business problems. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to design, develop, deploy and support data solutions that support the business needs.

What you will do
- Manage, maintain, and operate Snowflake data warehouse within agreed SLA.
- Design and maintain best architecture for BI Systems and Services and ensure they meet performance requirements and integrate effectively with both internal and external data systems.
- Use the SQL Server suite of tools (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, etc) to design and continuously develop the BI System.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the Data Warehouse and external feeds.
- Investigate and fix discrepancies in ETL jobs, data structures, outputs (Reports, Dashboard etc) and procedures.
Who we’re looking for
- Proven technical skills in Snowflake Datawarehouse development of models, views, stored procedures and functions.
- Proven, solid experience using the Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite of tools (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS) with solid T-SQL skills.
- Strong experience and knowledge of ETL development, OLAP design and database performance tuning.
- Experience with one or more BI Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, QlikView) would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse (Kimball), ETL and BI Architecture and principles.
